Yaletown Puppy Love Policies

All dogs require a proper identification tag and a valid city license, attached to their collar/harness, while in the care of Yaletown Puppy Love. This is in accordance with our by-laws of the City of Vancouver, and therefore we do not make exceptions.

In order to ensure all our four-legged friends have a safe time, and come away from a positive experience with us, we ask that all dogs comply to the following:

• Have up-to-date vaccinations (titer tests are accepted and encouraged)

• Puppies have their 2nd (or equivalent) set of shots. 

• Exhibit positive social behaviours with other dogs and people

• 100% house-trained for in our home care services (we do not accept pee-pads in lieu of) and do not mark in others home. 

For the safety of the other dogs and general public, Yaletown Puppy Love cannot take dogs with aggressive tendencies into our home, and/or group settings. Private walks are available for dogs with behavioural challenges, needing a little extra care and attention in this regards.

If you are a new client booking service for the first time, please allow our office at least five (5) business days notice before you would like service to begin. This allows us time to meet before hand, have the required information in our system and to ensure availability.

Two Hour Window

Due to varying schedules of our clients, we reserve a two-hour window around the time of your scheduled dog walk, and/or pet visit.

Example: If you are scheduled for a 30 minute walk in our 11:30-1:30 time block, you can expect your walker to arrive, complete service, and depart between this time. This window helps us manage varying schedules, inclement weather, travel time between client homes, and any elevator delays we may experience day to day.

Keys (home access)

Yaletown Puppy Love requires one house key + one access FOB for all Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Service (with the exception of our Home Boarding service, if not combining services), which we collect during our initial Meet n’ Greet Consultation. Please have a set ready for us at this time. All client keys are coded and kept in a secure lock box, when not in use. We use specific key codes which do not include personal information. 

Referral Rewards Program 

We always appreciate the extra love and support! To give back our thanks — for every new customer referral to us, you will receive a $20 credit towards your next booking. Please ask your referral to mention your name when they are speaking to us. 

Cancellation & Scheduling 

Establishing a regular dog-walking schedule is recommended. This helps us allocate our walkers and ensure you receive your desired walking window. 

In the event we show up for a scheduled walk and your pooch is not at home, or unable to join their walk, a full charge applies.

Payment

Yaletown Puppy Love accepts credit card payments through our online booking portal, accepting all major credit cards. You will be prompted to enter/store your credit card information once you log in to our secure third-party software requesting service. For your peace of mind our online booking portal uses Amazon servers, offering the highest security and protection. 

Home Boarding

In our-home boarding bookings are reserved on a first come, first serve basis, billed on a per day basis, with no additional charge for pick-ups by 10am on the last day of service. Much like a hotel. Pick-ups after 10am, either a ½ day or full day charge applies.  For more details, please refer to our online booking portal under Services & Descriptions for an in-depth disclosure to our Polices & Procedures. 

Photos & Video

We reserve the right to take picture of your pet(s) that may be used for public viewing. If you wish to have your pet excluded, please let us know before service begins.

Termination

Yaletown Puppy Love reserves the right to terminate a contract at any time before or during its term, if any of the said agreements and/or requirements have not been met, or if we feel a pet is not a good fit.
